Come for a week or for a weekend, bring your horses, your bikes, golf clubs or your fly fishing gear and enjoy the wonderful landscape that surrounds the farm. Or just bring yourself and relax.

The riding or driving is fantastic on hundreds of miles of logging roads in extraordinary natural beauty, or in our indoor riding arena. We're located adjoining the Høkensåsen Natural Preserve, one of Sweden's best fishing areas. Approx. 40 lakes with abundant fishing. You can even rent a lake for a day! Sweden's second biggest lake, Vätteren, is close by, and it offers exciting fishing opportunities as well. The unique 120 km Tidaholm Riding Trail passes close by the farm, and this is a great location to start the exciting trail that loops around the city of Tidaholm.

We also rent out two fully equipped 60 m2 houses located at the highest point ( 335m. ) of Høkensåsen moraine ridge that stretches for 120 km. on the west bank of Lake Vättern, in the midst of the wilderness. Ideal for two families as the houses are approx. 100 meters apart and share the shower facilities in a separate house. You will be staying in the deep forest and you can enjoy watching the moose graze outside the buildings. The view is spectacular and so is the nature here. Pick berries, mushrooms, spot wildlife, go for hikes in the woods or bike on a wide array of endless logging roads. Ideal and safe for children with no traffic.

Enjoy the peace and tranquility of this old farm that 150 years ago housed many people before most of them emigrated to the US. Life was a struggle for most of them, but now the place is used for enjoyment and relaxation. A great place to catch up and enjoy the good life. The name of the farm is Eckornabacken that means Squirrel Hill.

Here you really can forget the stress of the city without sacrificing the convenience of electricity and a hot shower. In the evenings you can relax in front of the the open fireplaces in these charming houses.

It takes only 15 minutes to drive back to sivilization, though, for shopping or a latte in quaint Tidaholm.
