The Sports Morgan horse is widely recognized as one of the most gracious and beautiful breeds, and superlatives are not hard to find when it comes to describe the sports Morgan. The Morgan breed was originally developed as "a breed of American horses
especially adapted to road and family use". The Morgan horse was ideally suited to travel long distances in a vast country like the US, and to be a general purpose farmhorse that could be used to plow fields and haul timber.
Today the Morgan breed is divided into two types.
The show Morgan is used for showing only wheras the sports or working Morgan is used to compete in all diciplines as well as for farm work.
Its strong rounded body, medium build, intelligence, determination and gentle disposition make the sports Morgan horse the perfect family horse suitable for kids as well as adults.
The sports Morgan is an allround horse suitable for all types of events from riding to driving.
The sports Morgan horse is in the forefront in carriage, combined driving, dressage, competitive trail & endurance as well as cutting and reining.
